Methods of Measuring Job Satisfaction(Customer Survey)

1.Single Global Rating Method
Some organizations use a single global rating of overall job performance to evaluate an employee. While this method would be expedient for the employer and may assist with decision such as paying bonus and allocating performance based pay increases, it is unlikely to provide the employee with any ideas on how to improve their performance.

1.Summation Score Method

Summation Score Method Identifies key elements in the job and asks for specific feelings about them. ( satisfaction with pay, coworkers, supervision…) • Work itself has the highest correlation with job satisfaction • Pay is not correlated after reaching a comfortable living.
a. Job Description Method(JDI)
b. Minnesota Satisfaction Questionaire(MSQ)
c. Porter Need Satisfaction Questionaire(NSQ)
d. Others

  • Job Diagnostic Survey.
  • Job Satisfaction Index.
  • Job Satisfaction Survey.
